How can I report spam?
I have been receiving this newsletter I have ever read. Finally, I decided to cancel the subscription. I've done it 8 times now, and yet receive it. I have proof of 5 of these requests (I swithes Outlook 2000 to 2003 and lost the sent items). I'm sick of this failure negligent in my rights. This is a real company, not much, just some stupid spam - I know because I received a quarterly magazine of them, and they are known in my line of work (not kid yourself, lol I am a Financial Planning Assistant)
There are many websites that provide useful information on how read email headers and how to report spam, but since you already know this company and have / had a preexisting relationship with them can try contact your customer service department by phone or e-mail (see their website) and tell them what you said here. Also, check with your provider Internet web page about their procedures for reporting spam, since they can do this for you or at least be able to provide the information. If that does not help or the end of spam, then you must learn that to complain and how. This requires read and parse the email headers to find out who their upstream provider or ISP. Once you learn that you can make an e-mail to your ISP (often used standard abuse@theirispdomain.tld address) and include a copy of one of the emails, including the header information hidden, along with a complaint. Here are a couple of websites with information useful: SpamCop.net - Anti SpamCop FAQ http://www.spamcop.net/fom-serve/cache/1.html-spam Page Elsop http://www.elsop.com/wrc / If you need nospam.htm additional help do not hesitate to contact me.
