what do i need to start trading forex in kenya?
I live in kenya and i would like to know how i can start my forex trading career and what resources, tools or learning materials i need in order to be successful in forex trading. Thanks.
The first thing you should do is educate yourself on the tools needed to trade the market. The most common being technical and fundamental analysis.
Technical analysts focus on chart analysis whereas fundamental analysts focus on economic events. And many traders use a combination of both.
There’s an abundance of free resources on the internet to learn more, so I would recommend starting with free tools before opening an account with any broker. Here are some places to get started:

FOREX: What/ where is the best FREE source of education on the web for a person who wants to learn how to…?
… trade on the Foex? I am a beginner, and I specifically want to learn about the basics, how to spot trends, tradeing techniques, etc..
Even if you want to recomend a book- that would be helpful. (FYI: I cannot afford a pricey course, so any recomendations to that fact will not be considered).

The best thing is to start reading the available articles on the net. That way you don’t have to pay and you will gain an overall idea of forex trading.
After that, if you want to really learn some techniques and insiders methods etc, then you would need to buy some good books or short courses. Generally the free ones are too vague.

Currency/Forex trading company in Las Vegas?
Is it normal to have a currency trading and currency trading based investment business based in Las Vegas. Las Vegas is the sin city, is it logical to assume then that a trading and thus speculation company is possibly not legitimate and is operating more of a gamblers multi level marketing, pyramid scheme type of gig other than running a legitimate investment operation?

What is the best online broker for forex trading.?
I want to start trading forex, but i’ve noticed there are several trading brokers/platforms. Can you please tell me which ones are the best to use and why? And more importantly, your experience with your choice.

I use Interbank FX and GFT. I don’t find their spreads to be any better or any worse than anyone else but I appreciate their customer service and user friendliness of their apps.
InterbankFX has another cool feature and that is the ability to use their credit or debit cards in order to quickly access money from your account. One word of caution is that all brokers make it very each to put money in….and many make it extremely difficult or time consuming to get money out. I guess they like that float.
The third reason that I like Interbank FX is that they have actually developed an EA for us that monitors my account balance and automatically closes all my positions and locks in my profits using either a profit target or a trailing stop setup. It is very cool waking up and seeing that you have just made $800 while you were asleep.
Lastly, we have negotiated institutional interest rates with both of these firms that are not available to other retail clients.

There is enough risk inherent in forex trading without having to worry whether your broker is going to rip you off. The first step to take when choosing a broker is to check whether they are regulated. In the US this should be with both the NFA and CFTC. In the UK the FSA. Second is whether your money is protected. Fortunately, the regulations concerning this have recently changed. As from 21st December 2007 the NFA (National Futures Association) requirements concerning minimum capital came into effect and already four brokers have failed to meet the new criteria.
Briefly the new rules stipulate that brokers must have a minimum capitalization of $5m plus a percentage to cover client funds.
If your broker meets these two requirements the next question is whether your broker is an ECN or FCM dealing broker - ie will his dealing desk be playing against you? This will matter if you want to include scalping as part of your trading strategy.
This is just the beginning of your quest to find a broker which best suits you and the resource list below should help you find the answers you will need.

Such as Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, etc and how would you go about transferring over assets?
Morgan Stanley will make the transfer of assets very seamless. Just call up and say you have some bucks to invest in Abacus and they’ll send a car right over for you and your cash!

Has anyone used THEOPTIONSCLUB.COM?
I’m a beginner trader of options and forex. I’m in the process of learning all I can from various places online and have only come up with a few that are really worth my time. The two that I currently use are learn-stock-options-trading.com, where i am currently enrolled in an options coaching class, and babypips.com, where i’m learning about forex trading.
I came across Christopher Smiths website, theoptionsclub.com and was intrigued at his strategy. I have emailed him twice with no response, so I was wondering if anyone has used his method or at least direct me to someone who can teach me what I am eager to know.

After I found the site (the URL should be theoptionclub.com without an “s” in it) and poked around a little bit I have no idea what his strategy is. About the only thing that I got from his introductory video is that you need to monitor the greeks. That is true, but it also something that just about any option trader already knows. It is true regardless of the strategy you are using.
I see he got Don Sheridan as a guest speaker. Don Sheridan at least actually understands options trading sell, but every presentation I have seen him make is partially an advertisement for OptionVue software. I hae no idea how well Christopher Smith understands options, but it looks like he has little formal training in them.

which will get you through the basics. Also, since much of it is self-paced to can get through the parts you already know quickly.
Once you have done that I suggest you read at least one good book about options. My favorites are
Option Volatility & Pricing by Sheldon Natenberg
and
Options as a Strategic Investment by Lawrence McMillan.
